『表面機能化によるナノ粒子触媒・電池カーボン電極・二次元結晶の開発と評価』

Nanoparticle catalysts, carbon-based battery electrodes, and two-dimensional crystals have emerged as key materials for next-generation energy devices and environmentally compatible functional systems. In this talk, I will present our recent progress on the development and evaluation of these materials through surface functionalization strategies. First, I will discuss the enhancement of electrocatalytic activity in platinum and transition-metal nanoparticles by tailoring surface structures, as well as the manifestation of quantum size effects. Next, I will highlight carbon electrodes with improved conductivity and reactivity achieved via solution plasma treatment and chemical functionalization, and their applications to lithium-ion and zinc-ion batteries. Furthermore, I will report on the growth and phase control of MoS₂ monolayers in liquid-phase synthesis mediated by alkali metal ions, demonstrating their potential in photoelectrochemical and catalytic applications. Through these studies, I aim to outline a materials design approach driven by surface chemistry and explore its impact on future energy and environmental technologies.
